Hello guys, I know that there is a way to make a wired remote controller using a Optic Toslink Cable to put in front of the wireless remote controller and in front of the camcorder sensor.

My question is if this is the type of Optic Toslink Cable that I should buy and should work for this project/idea :

Well that price shouldn't kill you. So why ask? Just get it. Not that it's really wired, you're just redirecting the IR light source on the remote. Which could be done with a mirror near the sensor (on the front of the camcorder). Or almost anything reflective like tin foil. With obvious issues related to rigging and not impacting the optical capture side of the device. Plusses and minuses depending on how light / un-sturdy your tripod is. And how modified you want the original device.
