Make Your Pick Super Bowl XXXVIII

1437 Views 36 Replies 27 Participants Last post by  RayL Jr.
Let's start the Super Bowl hype here on the forum!

Pick your winner for the match up between the Patriots and Panthers. It's just for fun...no prizes for picking the winner.

I'll be viewing the game on a Pan 42PWD5UY (last years 5 series) at 7ft away and at approx. 45 degree viewing angle. Picture is awesome!

Should be a good one.

I will be watching on Fujitsu P50 in HD (either OTA digital or Cable HD)
Well, seeing as I am from New England, anyone care to guess who I chose?

Will be watching on a 42" ED, non-HD signal though which bums me out.
Cable HD on a 5UY, doesn't matter who wins...as long as it's a good game.
I'll be watching the Pats stomp the Cats on my Panny 42PWD6UY via OTA HD signal.
My prediction:

Patriots dominate the game, but leave it just close enough for Carolina to sneak away with the win. Although I think NE is superior, I think Carolina is good enough to shock everyone.

LMAO, cut the sh....

obvious you don't watch football

go pats!
i'll be watching on my 20" Sony FD Trinitron with a blue tint problem, while studying for my organic exam on monday. Noone will be watching the superbowl in HD at my house as my parents dont care about football.
I got invited to a friends for the party. He has pre-January GWIII, hopefully

the bulb will make it to Feb 2.

I'll definitely be rooting for the Pats, but nothing is a given.

Oh... that would be the Pats. Party's at our house watching the NEC 42VP4 (with SD broadcast cable... I *hate* Adelphia (and monopolies)!)
Carolina is going to shock the world!!
with over 300 new and preowned cars in stock and 15+ inches of snow coming, I will probably be still digging out and wont have time to pick up pio 1110 scehduled for sat, so I will just drive down rte110 to CMR 'S house.

Believe panthers will upset. at least they better or us JET fans will never hear the end of it.

Tom
Either watching on my Sony 40XBR w/HD Cable, or @ Graham's Sports Bar & Grill on LCD FP & about 10 Tubes.

I gotta feeling about this one...Carolina Panthers for some SHOCK & AWE!!
Well, my brother has The Formula - from an old Sporting News article. It has been correct 32 of 37 times and has never been wrong when there's a large disparity. It picks the Pats by a whopping 80-25 (not final score).

I've seen it lose once these past ten years - and I remember arguing with my brother about the call it made, which was a close one (before the game). I don't have it on me right now, my brother is the one who bets. ;)

I'll say North Carolina pulls an upset and wins it 13 to 10. Of course I would say that since I'm from N.C. LOL Super Bowl in High Def this year YEA! Enjoy the game all.
first gen 50" Fujitsu - either OTA or via ExpressVu.

Favorites have covered 9 out of 9 when the game is two weeks after the final round of playoffs.

Can't see Carolina moving on the Pats defense.

regards,

patrick
