Hi.

I want to try using port 3 on my Barco 808G, but I'm not sure what the

pinout is on the DB9 plug. I've searched the net, but seem to get many

different ways.

A graphic of the plug would be nice, I always have trouble looking at it

from the right side, and so on.:)

Any advice?

Howyadoin'?

You shouldn't be having problems finding this information, but I searched the archives and did a cutnpaste from an old post of mine:

DB9 pin # connected to HD15 pin #

1.........10

2..........6

3..........1

4..........2

5..........3

6..........7

7..........8

8.........13

9.........14

HD15 pins 4, 5, 9, 11, 12 and 15 are not connected.

In case you're not sure, let me save you some potential aggravation in identifying which pin is No. 1 and so on. If you turn either connector

toward yourself and look straight at the rows of pins with the broadest part of the opening at the top, number 1 pin is top row and farthest left....and they read just like sentences on a

page; left to right, top to bottom.

For determining what wire is which at the other end or your SVGA cable, I used a basic multi-meter to see which pin corresponded to each bare wire at the other end. Anything you have for indicating a circuit will work.

Sorry, no graphics. I wrote out a diagram for myself when doing this though.

The manual for my bg1209 has following pinout:

1 - Not connected

2 - Ground RGBS

3 - RED

4 - GREEN

5 - BLUE

6 - Ground RGBS

7 - Ground RGBS

8 - h sync

9 - v sync

Is the pin 1 connected?

And what grounds to connect to 2, 6, 7 (what does the manual mean by RGBS)

According to this link www.crtprojectors.co.uk/port_3.jpg , the sync grounds are not connected?

Anyone?
