It's getting good reviews from all the right places. It's supposed to be fun. Look at the Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon game. All the old cool stuff seems to be making a comeback.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show) Looks and feels like Lexx and has that sense of humor. Mix in Mortal Kombat and you're nearly there.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show) it's worth my 10 bucks.

Sort of reminded me of Lexx and the lofty goals it aspired to. The movie is only an hour long and is genuinely funny while being wrapped in a Mortal Kombat slash 80's action scifi aesthetic. Throw in Ray Harryhausen for effect and your almost home. It was totally one of those VHS tapes the guy at the local store would rent me without ID that would piss my mom off, but better than some of those.

If you will watch The Video Dead or Hobo With a Shotgun (MUST SEE) and enjoy that stuff you should like this.

I'm actually still reeling over the ending.

Manborg is up on Amazon Instant for rental. Well worth 4 bucks for the enlightened ones here.

Take my money! Thanks I'll watch it tomorrow night.

My buddy at work was just talking about Manborg and said if you're into that vibe you should download the Far Cry: Blood Dragon game on Ps3/Xbox. You can play it as a stand alone. $14.99 The gameplay looks wild!

Meaning dope is required to watch it? I can see that.
Nope. Meaning love of the old Vestron/Full Moon/Hammer/Troma films is required. If you aren't a fan of those this will be terrible, probably. It is very funny and knows exactly what it is and what it's not. Which I respect.

From a creativity point of view it was made on 1000 bucks by 6 people who LOVE movies and that shows. Again, much respect, but who am I, I think Hawk the Slayer is better than most of all the recent sword and sworcery flicks.
