Does anyone have experience with this?

http://www.geocities.com/flipflop7146/

replaytv_manual_clock_set.zip

taken from website

"Setting the clock manually

Here is a control panel that you can install on the replaytv hard drive to allow manual clock adjustment. Once installed it replaces the "credits" easter egg with a simple control panel where you can type in the new time and date.

Warning: the ReplayTV stores the clock in GMT and not in the local time, so be sure to enter the time value in GMT or you will get a clock that is off by 4 to 8 hours! "

Does this work and if so does it work on all units?

It absolutley works on replay2000/3000 and similar models. I have several images with that hack posted at the disk image ftp. I seem to recall someone said it worked on the 4000 series but I'm not positive.

I'm under the impression it wouldn't work for 4500 series

due to cryptographic signatures introduced in 4.3 OS. I haven't

personally tried so can't say for sure, but it seems unlikely

unless the signature checks are broken.

The 4xxx units are running the same firmware as the 45xx series now, unless I'm mistaken.
