Hi all,


I am looking to upgrade from a 4 year old Denon 3200 Receiver to separates. I am considering picking up the Marantz amp via auction.Can anyone give me any opinions?


I've also considered the Rotel amps but they cost quite a bit more ($1000 for the RMB-1075). Is the Marantz in the same league as the Rotel or no?

I've listened to the Marantz quite a bit and would describe it as warm and musical. It is on par w/ the Rotel (but I'd give a slight nod to the Rotel). If you can get the Marantz amp at a good price ($400-$600) it would complement your Denon perfectly, and be a very noticeable upgrade over the amps in your receiver. Some of its features are remote trigger, peak level indicators, and balance control (I think).
