Just picked up a used marantz sr5600 for dirt cheap. I'm having problems with the audio from my directv not switching from digital to pcm reliably.
I'm using a spdif rca cable directly from the directv box into the receiver. The receivers input is set to dss-AT for automatic switching.
The problem is when switching to channels that have pcm audio the back to digital I just won't get any audio. Sometimes I'm able to change modes on the receiver and it works. Sometimes it will work flawlessly.
Anyone heard of such a problem? It's really annoying. I'm about to just set my directv box to pcm only and be done with it.
