I can get the Marantz for $375 or the Pioneer for $500. They both serve their purpose for me so I'm basically looking for the "most bang for my buck". Any suggestions or opinions? Thanks!

I owned the 56txi which was in the same family and year of the 54tx. I really liked that receiver. Never heard the marantz. Look in the archive threads and do a search for those model numbers. You will most likely find some comparisons of those and other like units from that time period.
