Marantz SR5015 Low Audio

910 Views 3 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  jdsmoothie
So my old Onkyo Home Theater in a BOX 9400 THX i got years ago finally died. So i kept my old speakers from Onkyo and used those for the new marantz but the audio on almost everything is so low and the dialogue is SO LOW i used the Audyssey Mic and it still did not resolve anything. So i am a bit concerned and also angry that i need to put the volume to 10- just to even TRY to hear this thing. And the movies...I have to be doing something wrong or there some settings i need to fix SOMETHING it cant be this receiver that cost so much alone. So any help would be greatly appreciated as whenever i have any problem i used to come here and get it resolved i forgot my old login so i had to create a new account. Anyways thank you i will try to stay here and give info as much as i can i also do not know the specs for the speakers or whats proper for them like i said total noob here but i will understand what ya try to tell me if not ill ask to dumb it down lol. sorry for the wall of text.

HTIB speakers are generally designed to only be connected to the HTIB receiver which is designed to power the generally very inefficient and low impedance HTIB speakers. You would be best served investing in a new (ie. non-HTIB) speaker setup.

Note also that the SR5015 is a 2020 model discussed in the 2020 Marantz AVR Owner's thread.

Post your budget and desired speaker configuration in the Speakers forum for suggestions.
