Once again it is new 720p vs. old, but it seems this is scenario is coming up lately thanks to the units being sold by The Second Act.
The VP8600 is a refurb model, and is being sold at a price that puts it in direct comeptition with entry level 720p offerings.
How would you rate the projectors on this list? They are vary in price some, but are all entry level 720p models (save the Marantz)
1. Marantz VP8600
2. Panasonic PT-AX200U
3. Optoma HD65
4. Mitsubishi HC1600
5. Infocus X9
6. Epson Home Cinema 700 (not 720 - it is being discontinued anyways)
7. Sanyo PLV-Z60
We'll say the room is %100 dark and that throw distance is not an issue.
Edit: This would be for a new setup, so the screen and offset could be tailored to fit the individual projector. I guess what I am asking is which one can provide the best picture quality for a mix of gaming/SD/HD programming.
