I'm looking at picking up a marq 8500 but there is no power to the machine. I was wondering if there is a way to tell if the powersupplly fried the tubes or not?


Also how easy is it to get another power supply if its ok? (calling Curt)


Also in Curt's primer he mentioned about 8500 having the modification done to adjust the power supply from frying the tubes..how do you tell that its been done?

If it's cheap, grab it.


Then bring it over, I've got spare supplies here. you also should get the anamorphic mod done, and the existing supply should be checked for the filament mod. You can't tell if it's been done, that's why I do the mod to ALL Marquees.

well Curt that was the plan. I'm going to check to make sure the tubes aren't fried first.


I'll let you know. I can always find a reason to head to Van. Plus the wife is cool with it too...as long as I get it at a good price.
