Hi everyone,

Now that I am relaxing in the glow of my CRT, Marquee 8111+

It arrived this morning from Curt,

I am looking at mounting the ACON unit.

I have put the ACON into the socket, but there is a gap of about 1cm between the ACON base and the mounting screws on the front plate.

Is there a spacer or something suppose to be installed between them?

Appreciate any help.

Cheers

Mine came with spacers that replaced the screws in the projector panel.

I have seen 2 Acon units mounted to the projector. The one on Don's 8000 just mounted to the front panel and plugged in. With mine, I had to fabricate spacers to make it align with the plug. I know the boards are different between a Marquee and the ECPs' but I also think there is might be a difference in the mounting between the cameras. The cameras will work with both units.

Mine has screw-in spacer things with threads at the other end that the screws screw into.

They might be a little difficult to find, you might just be able to find a really long screw and call it a day. Or duct tape or something. Whatever you can rig up to hold it in place more securely, because it's too heavy for the plug to hold the camera unit very securely.
