Marquee astigmation

522 Views 5 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  Tim in Phoenix
Changing zone astigmation values on the marquee is not working properly. That is, when I change values for top left, top middle, top right zones, it got no effect on the blob. Changing middle bottom zone affect all zones. Changing middle left zone affect left top, left middle, left bottom zone. Changing bottom left zone affect bottom left, and top left zones. And so on... Focus zones behave weirdly as well.

Do you think something might be wrong with the Astig focus board?

Just guessing here, but are you sure that your focus coil is properly oriented - i.e. rotated to the proper position so that the controls act in the proper direction?
Hello

Is that on one color or all three? There may be timing issues with waveforms from the control board or DPB.
Tim, the issue is for all 3 tubes.

if there are faulty boards, can I repair them or should I buy new one. if so, from where?

Thanks.

Turning Focus coil on the marquee should have no effect.

Tim, The problem is on the three tubes. If some boards are faulty, are they repairable. If not, where I can I get new one? Focus zone addressing is working fine and so only the astigmation part is faulty.

Thanks.

The next chore is either troubleshooting with a scope or to swap in known good boards until the problem is isolated. Did you put Focus to 100 for this adjusting?
