Hi guys,
I'd like to do the fan mod on my Marquee 8000, and I've found the Papst fans to be very expensive in Australia (A$36 a fan). I've checked out the web and can find a few 12V fans that output the same CFM (and are even quieter, even at similar 2000 rpm), and are cheaper and more readily available (no 6-8 week wait).
Is it possible to rig up a 12V fan (with a resistor) or is there much more to this than my rudimentary electronics suggests?
Alternatively has anyone found other quiet 24V fans that push the right CFM?
Thanks,
Steve
