Well I pulled out my Horizontal Board and I have a board called -

Small Signal Daughter Board


What does this Board do?

And do I need it installed?



From all the pictures I have seen, I have never seen this board mounted before.


I have attached a picture.

No, the later deflection boards have that signal processing board on it, the older 8000 Marquees don't have it. It's crucial for operation though, you'll get no pix with it taken off.

I routinely pull off that board, swab some contact cleaner on the pins, and re-install it to cure 90% of "dosen't power on" problems.

I do have a habit of doing the same with all the connection/plugs.
