If so, is something like the 109 good for this purpose?

The 202 Plus and 202xi are the models of choice and feature variable gain and detail knobs; the xi has two switchable analog inputs; we have a few NOS 202xi's left for $795, and input cables at $79-99.

I have a 202 xi with cables that I do not need anymore. I bought them from Mike Parker a few months ago. Moved up to a Movi with MP mod so they are just sitting here! I have not gotten around to listing them in the sales forum. Email me if your interested. [email protected]

Any drawbacks using RGBS rather than RGBHV, assuming quality cables?
