Setting up my new 8500..puh

Guess I need an professional when the PJ are to be permanent mounted


Need an advice: When connected to the HTPC, the green and blue are showing the picture ok, but the red are off!


When pressing the color button on the remote, the status bar are showing in all tubes, but in the red the only thing it shows are the status bar (the R/G shows both status and picture from the HTPC desktop).


Have checked the on/off function on the remote where the color button are pressed, and the 1,2,3... are used for on/off on each tube.


Any suggestion?

you have a bad connection on your red line input. Check and/or replace as necessary. For future reference, whenever you have internal video (self generated text/menus/test patterns) but no input video on a given CRT, the problem is source or cable related 99.99% of the time. Very rarely is it a projector problem.

Checked the red BNC plug. Had tu turn off the plastic cover, and found an bed connection. Reinserted and the R/G/B are all ok!
