A recent visit to the burningshed website triggered me to buy something on a whim: marvin ayres - harmogram suite, which has a 5.1 mix (DTS or DD, not MLP unfortunately). Ambient, in a theme or style similar to Steven Wilon's Bass Communion. Quite good, and very hypnotic, Much like BC.


Anyway, thought I should mention it, in case anyone else wants to explore.

I too bought this on a whim and really enjoy it.


The forward in the liner notes almost made me cry. It's an amazing piece of layered improv cello with an organized vision.


Wonderful music for doing Yoga in the morning. Ethereal and pleasing to the soul and ears! The surround DTS mix is quite good IMHO.


Shinksma, did you watch the bonus videos? I love the one where he creates a whole song live as his associate samples him over and over.

I haven't explored the disk beyond the regular audio surround tracks. But now I will, especially that video you mentioned - sounds intriguing.
