I have been thinking about purchasing the Coolermaster ATC 6131 B Case . I have pretty much decided on the Gigabyte Nforc2 GA-7NNXP Motherboard .


But, looking at the pictures of each, in the back, and the mobo, it looks like the various ports that come with the mobo are built into the back, and do not match the holes for ports on the case.


So, how does a person choose a case for a specific mobo? I've read a lot of stuff on cases but haven't seen much anything on this topic.

An ATX board will work in an ATX case. About the ports, the MB should come with a plate with the appropriate holes for the ports that fits in a hole in the back of the case.

Thanks. It wasn't apparant, given that the picture of the case shows that slot where the plate goes filled in. I presume that plate will pop out, and be replaced with the one that comes with the motherboard.
