I have the https://www.amazon.com/Onkyo-HT-S5800-5-1-2-Channel-Theater-Package/dp/B00YMN69XS which work fairly well for a speaker noob who games and watches netflix

With the xbox it supports dolby and i have been buying games that support it as well as renting movies, the atmos effect is pretty subtle though, the atmos demo with the rain is the most noticeable

I was looking to get some dedicated atmos speakers to mount on the wall/ ceiling and learned about having matching speakers from this thread http://www.avsforum.com/forum/91-audio-theory-setup-chat/2915490-ceiling-mounting-bookshelf-speakers-atmos.html and apparently, onkyo does not have separate speakers available

I also learned that the ideal atmos speakers would be coaxial style and MTM design, alot of people mention the volt 6s on the forums but not sure if that would match with my system

Do yourself a favor and spend that money on better mains. Better speakers with 5.25-6.5" drivers will have a much better soundstage, better dynamics and overall sound. This would be much more beneficial to your listening enjoyment.

If you really want atmos speakers, Onkyo SKH-410 would be a good option.

Every other part of the system seems fine to me, perhaps i dont know any better, out of the entire system the only thing that lacks is the atmos

I did look at those atmos speakers and the reviews mentioned it was way too subtle, i did find some other brands that had better reviews

I will probably call parts express and get some tips from them too
