Pick your favorite scene from the matrix that you would want to see.

Try to keep it down to 2 choices.

Highway chase, all the way.
While there are a lot of scenes in the latter two films that take the cake for visual impressiveness over the first film, only the first film lacks the self-smugness and over-the-top goth look that completely destroys any sense of believability or real seriousness in the sequels.

The last two sure are nice CGI tech demos though. I just watched SWIII and while it might be more impressive visually at times, at least I never laughed at the plights of characters in the Matrix films.
The lobby scene is the one I am looking forward to in the first one, and the end battle in the last one should look good (HD rain
).

I am worried about the burly brawl because unless they redo the cgi, all the cgi Smiths could look wrong.

Lobby scene for me. The camera angles and music is just perfect.

I believe the scene with the Miro Vingi (phonetic spelling) and his henchmen, with the two sets of stairs and the crazy weapons, people flying up and down from the balcony, should look pretty sweet...
I didn't see this one on the pole, but

I love the Trinity scene of her jumping out of the window shooting her way to certain doom

Thats the one I am going to be running a loop, and freezing..

I didn't think the trinity scene was long enough. But the cloe up on her face is going to look amazing.

The scene with the pole and smiths is the burly brawl.
Gotta admit I haven't seen the original Matrix since I got rid of Warner's cardboard snapper DVD edition years ago, I specifically skipped the DVD re-issues of all the films because I knew one day...HD.
Im looking forward to most of the movie.. but the highway scene is my favorite.. lobby seq a very close second and battle for zion 3rd.

The club hell scene with the upside down guys could have been great, but it was waaaaayyyyy too short.
Hey how about the Morpheus rescue in the Matrix, that's going to look F...ing sick....Oh so many I don't think I am going to watch it at first, but jump from scene to scene....

The helicopter crash will test out the compression on HD. With all the glass shattering.

Also, the sound will be a lot different here because of the crappy 384kbps DD track on the original SD-DVD release. Hearing it in TruHD will be marvelous..
Oy!!!! Its the 11th how is everyone getting it so early!
On the DVD the lobby scene has been my test material for macroblocking. On Faroudja based SD DVD players that enhance that kind of thing, like my Panny S77, it looks atrocious. Once you get used to it you can still see it even on players that don't enhance macroblocking. I'm looking forward to watching it artifact free and in high resolution.

EDIT: I can't wait to see Smith break the toilet bowl with Morpheus' head.
