I'm so careless, you have to buy the player and the set in order to get the 2 free movies, sorry all.

oh, and apparently best buy might have messed up their pricing in the ad, so you can possibly fight for a 79.99 ultimate edition...interesting. Ultimate + 2 HD-DVDs for 79.99!
It says "& a Toshiba HD DVD player."

Still a great deal for those who don't have a player yet. Thats a lot of movies too.
The 2 free HDDVDs are only if you buy one of the Matrix sets *AND* an HDDVD player.

EDIT: roblc2 beat me to it!

hold on... I'm thinking of getting an actual stand-alone HD-DVD player. If I buy a stand-alone Toshiba (what else is there) theres a 100 instant rebate on the player dropping that down to 300. With the purchase of the player I get 5 free movies via mail-in rebate. Add to that the Matrix Ultimate HD-DVD set for 80 and 2 free instant movies that day!

This is also a promotion for Fathers Day. Also I would not have thought that this type of pricing would have been possible just last year at the formats beginning. I mean look:

1. Stand alone player...300

2. Matrix HD ...80

3. 2 free movies instantly...free

4. 5 free movies via mail...free

----------------------------------------

about 400.00 for an HD player with the Matrix + 2 movies to watch (or give for Fathers Day) + 5 more free movies via mail-in. damn! if I hadnt bought the 360's add-on HD player I would most definetly have bought in at this point. (which I still want to get into)

Don't forget to price match The Complete Matrix Trilogy to Fry's, Target, or Wal-Mart prices to get it for $63

Tronn,

Don't forget that if you get the A20 ($100 more) it too comes with 3 movies in the box from what I'm hearing. Make sure the box is marked that way though. Although, I guess 3 movies would cost less than $100. I was just pointing out it was a lot of movies to start out with
