Matrix trilogy bad box.

3615 Views 32 Replies 22 Participants Last post by  BigMikeATL
i just got my matrix trilogy box set from WB yesterday. it wasn't packaged as well as amazon but this is weird. the box for Revolutions had all the disc holders in the center snapped off and loose in the box. thus, my disc was loose and sliding around and scratched. the box itself was ok. ? now i have to see how i get just the one movie in the box set replaced...

What exactly is the packaging like? It looks like a cardboard slipcase; are there individual plastic cases inside or what?

I've had the tabs broken on so many Warner titles I've lost count, I replaced the cases with ones I've bought from Sleeve City. I'm hoping the Matrix doesn't come broken.

Call WHV and ask them to send you a new set. They sent me a brand new sealed set of Planet Earth when I called them and told them just the tabs holding the insert page on the case was broken, but my discs were fine.

Man...I hope my box set arrives in good shape. It arrives at work on Monday!

Mine arrived Thursday. I finally got a chance to open the box. Checked all of the disc cases and Revolutions was missing.

So they are going back to WHV Monday. Hope the replacement package comes quickly.

Does sleeve city sell green cases? Does anyone. I would pay $10 for a set of 3.

at the most $12.

WTF!!! Man!!, thats awful, what, somebody stole it? or you mean it was broken or something. That sucks man. I hope mine arrives good. Ohhh, I'll be so mad. I'll order a replacement and for it to be FREE for or the trouble and dissapointment.
This exact thing happened to me from Amazon with Planet Earth. One disk missing, the others floating around and badly damaged. I let them know and the overnighted me a new one without me even sending back my current damaged set.

Kudos to Amazon on that one. Don't know what WB will do with this, but I would think they would do something similar.
Now we are all going to be nervous waiting for our MATRIX sets...
I received my Ultimate Matrix set from WHV on Friday. Happy to report that all the discs were secure in their cases, and all three movie discs actually played in my XA2 glitch-free (I was worried, since they are technically combos).

My only gripes are that the slipcase had one slightly crushed corner, and the case itself is a glossy black fingerprint magnet. But considering that my Planet Earth set had two loose discs and therefore was sent back to WHV, things could have been a lot worse.
Warner's QC has been less then acceptable lately. They did this with the PE releases, many people had scratched disks.

Some HD DVD PE's and BR PE's had mixed HD DVD / BR disks in the case.

Since I'm leaving Monday for business, and next weekend will be busy I don't think it will hurt much to wait.

And if I can, I can catch up with the other HD-DVDs that have gone unwatched.
i emailed wb on friday night. got the standard answer on saturday and hopefully will get a proper answer tomorrow(monday).
Warner has broken my heart. Just recieved my copy of Ultimate Matrix. Doin cartwheels when low and behold....while checking all the cases to make sure discs were fine.........my Matrix Revolutions case was....EMPTY! Thats right.....my Revolutions case was completely empty. Now I have to return it and wait a few more days for my next one. GRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!
I thought most would be happy to not find Revolutions in the box.
Mine arrived today and the inside box was just fine. All the discs were intact and no broken tabs -- and I got all the discs. The outer box they shipped in however, leaves a lot to be desired. Think they could have at least coughed up the extra dosh for another piece of tape to secure it better (only had one tiny piece of cheap tape on it).

I was wonderin when the first revolution joke would be made about my situation...lol Frankly....I am one of the few that absolutely loved all three. Sure the latter 2 had less substance but the action in all three was good enough for me.
