I really like the ability to use Windows and use the TV-out independantly of each other. After a lot a searching I found that Matrox uses their own proprietory tv-out chipsets, which means that it is incompatible with tvtool. So my choice for watching DVD's on my TV comes down to the Matrox DualHead cards or another card that uses either the BT869 or CX25871 TV-out chipset w/ tvtool.

With the Matrox cards I basically have to depend on the player I use and any other bundled software to get the best possible picture on my tv, whereas with another card I have the ability to use tvtool to ensure that I get the proper resolution. Is the software that comes with the Matrox cards (plus any other like ZP/WinDVD4/PowerStrip) enough to ensure good PQ or am a better of going with a tvtool-compatible card? Keep in mind I would like to have dual displays if at all possible.
