I am testing my new system and I can put it on max volume which is +10 db on my Onkyo 876. I also have an XPA-3 controlling my mains and my center channel. At max volume it is loud and clean but I am pretty sure it should be louder and can handle more. Is there anything I'm doing wrong?

These are my mains with a matching center channel:

I also see that the XPA-3 doesnt have a gain control so there is nothing I can do there so I assume everything is handled by the Onkyo. Should I be able to put max volume on these?

Any help here? I feel that my amp or setup isn't throwing my speakers enough power. I can put max volume and it is loud and clean but no where near as loud as it should be.

How loud did you expect it to be?

I figured out the problem. I ran Audessy and it lowered my DB for my fronts ALOT. I am not sure why it did this but when I manually adjusted it, my speakers came to life again. I am going to re-run Audessy to see if I get better results.
