 http://www.provantage.com/ is selling Maxell 25 pk DVD-Rs for $12.99. Sounds very enticing, or too good to be true. Have anyone of you guys had dealings with this website in the past? And If so were your experience satisfactory?

I got a glimpse at someone else's sunday paper, yesterday. Seems to me CompUSA had a similar deal? It might not hurt to check them out if they are near you?


Oops...I was wrong. I just checked again and theirs were Sony 4X DVD-R 50-pack for $24.99. No mail-in rebate to hassle with. Seems like a decent price to me on normally good media? But they probably only had enough stock for the first 25 customers, if I know CompUSA?

I hit my local CompUSA at 4pm Sunday afternoon - and they had quite a few left.


The discs are Made in Japan (vs. Taiwan or Austria). I picked up 4 50 packs ($108 after tax), figuring if I had any problems, I'd just bring them back. So far, they've worked great (4 burns...).
