I just got this in an email from Amazon:


We have some news concerning your order for "SkyBox by Maytag Personal Beverage Vendor and SkyBox by Maytag SkyBase Storage Stand." We are sorry to report that we have contacted our supplier and these items are not yet available. The official release date has been pushed back to March 1, 2004.



No biggie for me because I'm not ready for it anyway but I know some of you guys are looking forward to it.

My bet was demand was a lot lower than expected.


Seriously, with recent hightened security levels, foreign parts are a lot slower crossing borders. Many products in the electronic's industry are taking longer to produce because part lead times have been increasing.

I just got this email from Maytag.


Thank you for your interest in the SkyBox by Maytag! Customization of the SkyBox panels will be available in approximately 6 months. Currently, our SkyBox brochure is in production and will be available in the next 3 - 4 weeks. We would be happy to mail one to you at that time. If we can help you in any other way, please let us know.

I'm halfway there. They shipped the Skybox Storage Stand today.
