MC-1 Dolby EX chip install

I bought the chip from AVScience. But installation has not been a snap. So...


Has anyone here successfully put a EX chip in an MC-1? I need to know definitely which chip slot it's supposed to go into.


The only slots that would appear to be the right size are 1. motherboard, 2. DTS chip on a small board to the left side looking down from the front of the unit.


The motherboard install didn't work for me, so now, I have question as to whether I tried to put the chip in the right socket. If I did, I must have a bad chip. If I didn't, then I simply want to know where to put the dang thing!


I did a chip upgrade once, and there were instructions, but not this time, unless I missed them...
