I'm putting in a new HT and I am not terribly well informed. Reading all I can.


I'm considering the 59TXi for the receiver , probably just because Ive selected other Pioneer gear such as plasma and DVD.


I am a little concerned Pio receivers may not be the best based upon occasional comments from members on the Forum. Other suggestions for Receiver selections would be welcome.


I do feel because the room I'm installing in is not ideal, the MCACC capability of the Pio receiver may be a big discriminator for selecting the 59TXi.


Do other receivers other than Pioneer offer such automatic adjustments to compensate for room acoustics?

i have the pioneer elite vsx-55txi with the MCACC and am very impressed...


the equalization that it provides made my system sound better and did not add any noise at all into the sound....


i use my pioneer receiver as a preamp with outboard amps....


yamaha offers a similiar eq system with their receivers.... but personally i felt that the pioneer elite line was a better product... IMHO....
