I don't know what A side and B side cable is... If you have cable boxes, they have to have the same programming available in MCE 2005. The only exception here is OTA HDTV.

MCE 05, 2 Tuners, Cable A & B sides... can it be done?
I have an MCE05 box setup with 2 WinTV 150 MCE tuners. I have two-sided cable here, unfortunately, and I haven't quite figured out if I can set up each tuner with a different tv guide. Is this possible? I have A-side cable running into Tuner 1 and B-side cable running into Tuner 2. It seems MCE 05 is only capable of handling one TV guide despite how many tuners you have.
