Hi

I'm feeling really dim (nothing new there then!)

I've just installed MCE2005, and also bought TheaterTek 2.0 which uses the new NV4.0 codecs etc.

While i've been messing around with TT2.0, i decided to try DVD playback via the Media Centre DVD player.

To my surprise, the image seemed smooth/clear, but brightness needed adjusting.

I have only really ever used TT1/1.5/2.0, so i am not really up to speed with MP10/MCE player etc.

Where the brightness/contrast etc etc controls?

Also since i now have the NV4.0 codecs supplied with TT2.0, which i assume MCE is using. How or where are the controls for the filters, so i can change/alter these?

I did try MP10 to see if altering the brightness contrast there, would alter MCE player. But each time i move the slider, it snapped back to default!?!

I am connected via DVI to a front projector. And wonder if MCE2005 disables video controls by default when using DVI etc?

I'm running 1280x720p @ 50hz/59.94hz via Forceware driver 61.77(MCE).

These drivers allow my Nvidia 5950Ultra VGA card to run with custom timings/resolutions and refresh rates.

There are preset custom modes for PAL @ 1280x720p and NTSC @ 1280x720p.

Using the PAL preset with MCE player gives perfect(and i mean perfect), smooth judder/stutter free playback.

It is the smoothest playback i have ever seen, including my Pioneer868i HDMI DVD player.

So you can imagine that why i want to be able to calibrate the video settings!

I have done a calibration using my projectors settings. But altering this means it effects my Pioneer DVD(HDMI/DVI) settings. So i really need to alter MCE player!

Any help/advice about using MP10/MCE player with NV4.0 codecs/filters would be very very welcome.;)

No one have any ideas?

I assume at least changing things in "performance" in MP10 settings makes some changes?

Thanks:)
