McIntosh Labs MX 121 and Manual inputs

I just got this. Don't like the Audyssey Setup because center channel output is too low so I'm calibrating it manually. Not so easy.

Do I want HT-EQ On or off

Dynamic EQ-on or off

Dynamic Volume-on or off

LFE = 0

LPF for LFE. I have it set to 120 Hz but can't say why. Crossover set at 60 which is fine.

Can anybody help me. Printed manual is not the best.

Thanks,

Bruce

Did you read the Audyssey SetUp guide in the dedicated thread here?  There are many important issues not addressed by user's manual and low center volume is one of them.

HT-EQ is an optional setting which you can use if you like how it sounds.

Dynamic-EQ is a compensation for playing at lower than reference levels.  It only works if Audyssey is ON.

DynamicVolume is a compression mode for late-night listening,  It only works if Audyssey is ON.

"LFE=0"  ??? Dunno what you mean.

LPF for LFE is correctly set at 120Hz.

Crossover setting should be determined by the measured FR of each speaker.
