I just picked up a CA813 Light Meter and want to measure On/Off contrast ratios for my DLP projector.
I've seen comments around the place on how to approach this but was wondering if somebody could describe a best practices method for getting good results?
Place the sensor as close as you can without overloading the instrument. Keep the room as dark as possible. Align the sensor so it is orthogonal, centered and facing the light cone. Do not move the sensor between measurements.
