I have had a dead (amplifier) AV123 MFW-15 sitting in my basement for probably the past 5 years. I am looking to get it running again. Seaton sells replacement amps but $500 is too rich for my blood for this sub. I have no problems leaving the old dead amp in there as a plate and running an external amp. I am looking to see what your guys recommendations are for a 300-400W RMS 4 ohm amplifier that to be honest is cheap as possible.

This is a stop gap until i feel like building a new sub again.

Also, if you have a good elec tech in the area it may be possible to fix the amp for not too much money. Some have had success repairing these.

I recently revived my son's MFW-15 with an inuke 1000. I left the plate amp in and just replaced the wires connecting the speaker level input with the actual driver wires (removed the plate amp, cut the old wires off, soldered the driver wires, replaced plate amp).

Works like a champ.
