Hi all - I have an old projector and was wondering if there was such a thing as a micro lens (as opposed to a macro lens that people use to make the image bigger with les projector/screen distance)


I want to mount the projector above and behind the viewers, but the distance to the screen means that the image would be too big for the screen. So is there any add-on lenses to reduce the size of the image?


Projector is an LP550-570, I can modify the projector to fit another brand's lens.

Yes, it's call a long-throw lens. Unfortunately they're expensive (1K or more in USD) for one with a decent image and minimal light loss. Sometimes it's cheaper to sell yours and get a new, brighter, better PJ.

Do a search on ebay for "long throw lens"; but note that some adapting may be required unless you're lucky enough to find one meant to be place din front of the existing lens.
