I just bought a Microsoft wireless keyboard & mouse package - they work great except the utility used to customise the special keys isn't as flexible as I'd hoped for.


In zoomplayer, the "[" and "]" keys are used to skip back and forward, so for whatever reason, the keyboard's back and forward buttons don't work. Play/pause works. Volume works. I'd also love to be able to remap the other hotkeys to functions useful to me, like a menu button, or setting screen presets etc.


Does anyone know a way to do what I'm trying to do? It looks like the only functions that the keyboard software allows are:


1) select from a list of common functions

2) launch a program, or

3) disable the key


It's annoying as the Logitech app for their keyboards will allow remapping to keystrokes.

That'll learn me for getting the cheaper deal - should have gone for the Logitech wireless setup

you could always re-define the skip-forward and back functions in zoomplayer

I have the same problem with my crappy no-name wireless keyboard. The audio controls only work with Windows Media Player, not winamp.


If anyone has a solution, I would also like to know it.
