Microsoft MCE 2005 Upsamples ?

Recently I ripped a song in the Windows Media Lossless format and when I played it in Meddia Player 10 , my Revo 5.1 reported the sample rate as 44.1. When I played it within MCE 2005 the sample rate was reported as 96kHz !! Anyone confirm this?

I think it's the nvidia codecs from TheaterTek; when I uninstalled Theatertek and installed WinDvd 6 , it reports 44.1 either way.
