WJRT met the May 1st deadline and are broadcasting at full power on DT channel 36. No subs up yet but they are in the works.
The only problem I have with them is that they are using that horrible stretch mode on all non HD stuff, bad move. WLNS from Lansing uses a modified stretch, there are slim black bars but the picture is very watchable, hope WJRT reconsiders. All the Detroit stations use 4:3 without a problem, I wonder why the smaller markets feel they need to stretch?
