MidiMan digital media converters?

Does anybody have any experience with their optical to coaxial media converters? I have two coaxial devices and some of the A/V receivers I've been looking at only have one coaxial input. I am wondering if these media converters work as advertised and don't degrade sound quality?

I have a CO2 and it works as advertised- I even forgot it was there!
