Mini DVI issues

I've set up my mac mini with my Panasonic PT-53wx53. Everyting works greate with s-video output, but I'm having problems with the DVI inputs. No matter what resolution I set it too, I seem to get a black screen. When I look at the mini through VNC, I can see that it's detected the Panny, the name is in the display preferences.


As I was led to believe by these forums, the mini was picking up the TV at 1920 X soemthing way over 1080 that I can't remember right now. So I installed displayConfigX and started setting different resolutions. Still no display.


Is it possible I'm leaving out a step? Do I need to physicaly unplug and replug the display each time I switch res?
