I have a mini HTPC that I built for me to log into work from home and as an entertainment system in our small apartment. The pc has a ASUS P8H61-I Motherboard (). Because my primary need is work and the need to maximize the space went with the Dell U2410 for the monitor () all this fits and can be tucked into the Ikea Ludvig ().

Now my problem is sound. What minimalist system could be set up so that maybe the speakers are tucked away when not in use? I want to be able to play music without having the doors always open or top down. I think ideally a small sound bar (23") in white on top would be ideal, but that does not seem to exist.

Can a center channel be used alone? Could I also have a wireless sub to create a a mini 1.1 system?

What is the ideal minimalist system?
