Mini Rca connectors on Marquee VIM

Been toying with the idea of getting rid of the mini RCA's & replacing with the newer mini-BNC's. These things have to be a weakpoint in the chain.

I looked on the site and I find mini bnc connectors for the board, but none for the ends of the cable!

1 Surface mount rt angle mini bnc

it's part number CTP-175-7A = 1.7MM PIN MINI RCA PLUG FOR CABLE

make sure you get the 1.7mm and keep the same pin- size , otherwise you will need to replace the jacks on the VIM and neck-boards as well

Canare now has the MBCP-C series but I think it utilizes the same size jack though they have managed to streamline the plug down to a smaller diameter.


Probably makes the most sense to hardwire at the Neck Board end and change the jacks at the VIM.


A true mini-bnc is 40% smaller than standard BNC.
