Mini Review for Army of Darkness - a bit weak

Just thought that I would give a quick review of this new release.


I was a bit disappointed. The detail is there, but the color is definately off. Very red/orange. The brightness is also blown up a bit too much. I ran a previous DVD release close to synched up in the background and I very much preferred the colors on the standard DVD. They seemed much more natural.


The detail and shadow deliniation was supperior in HD, but even this improvement was minimal. The most obvious improvement was in the close-ups of the actors, but the color tainted the experience. Overall the improvements are not worth the upgrade for the casual fan.
