I am wondering if any of you guys are running the Wi-dg module for the minidsp. I've followed the instructions connecting to the unit via Ethernet then configured the unit. Once I do that I disconnect the Ethernet and can no longer see the unit. Plugging the Ethernet back into the unit I can see that after setting it up in station mode the IP is listed as 192.168.1.95. I then unplug the Ethernet and can ping the IP address without any issues. pulling up the minidsp-wi-dg.local/ shows that it still will not connect. I also do not see the device in the minidsp 2x4hd software nor the iPhone app. I thought at first that maybe it was a port issue so I tried to set up the IP as a DMZ but still nothing. Anyone else have issues with this device or anyone mind giving me a hand on why I am having issues with very simple instructions lol

Hey Kyle I have the wi-dg with a miniDSP 2x4 HD so maybe I can help. When you bring up the http://minidsp-wi-dg.local/ web page does it show you the ip of the wi-dg? Also when you log into the page your're on the "System Information" tab. Over to the right of that is the "Network" tab. Click on network and then click refresh on the network tab and see if it detects your network.

If I leave the Ethernet cord plugged into the unit it will pull up the site and show the up address. If I unplug the Ethernet and connect over WiFi I get nothing from the site. I can ping the device while on WiFi but can’t visit the website nor connect to the device. It’s very odd.

Thanks for the information but yes it sees my network and I’ve connected to it else it wouldn’t update the IP address and be able to ping over WiFi correct?

I feel it has to be something with a port or something bc everything seems working as it should but just can’t connect when it’s don’t configuring.

Out of curiosity what firmware are you running?

OK so with the Ethernet plugged in go to the network tab again and click on the words "Detect wifi Network" and see if it sees you wifi network. Then try it again with the ether net unplugged.

Yes that is the steps I have taken. Once unplugged I cannot reach the website anymore. I get a network error.

Also hit the reset button on the wi-dg and let it restart and then try click on "Detected wifi Network" on the network tab with the ethernet unpluged. Then if it finds your network login and then click "Configure and Restart" If it connects you won't get a message you only get a message if it cannot connect.
