Minidsp with 4k

Hi everyone. I recently bought a Minidsp nanoAVR DL but I only found out when I tried to set it up that the unit does not support 4k or 4k pass through. My problem is that my sources are all 4k and I don't want to just set all my sources to 1080p when I paid extra for all the 4k sources. I told Minidsp about this and they said they don't have any products that support 4k and Dirac live. They suggested using a matrix switcher to split the video signal to have the Minidsp receive a 1080p signal but have my projector receive the original 4k signal from my source. I'm not familiar with matrix switchers so I don't know if this is possible. Has anyone here tried anything like this? Can you recommend any products that would be able to do it?

If you want Dirac, look for a used Nad 758v for just a few hundred more= no more problem!
Problem is I already bought the minidsp. I'm trying to sell my minidsp but so far no takers. I've thought about getting the T758 if I'm able to sell the minidsp but buying the NAD on top of the minidsp is just too expensive. So for now I'm looking at other options like matrix switchers.
Yea... been there done that. I tried 3 different cheap switchers and they all failed. A good one will cost $300+ so it's not worth it.
Thanks for the advice. I guess my only real choice is to sell the minidsp

Check this out and see if it will help remedy your issue before deciding to sell it.

This could possibly be a solution for you.

I'd see if you can return the minidsp unit where you bought it from, unless it was directly from them in HK.
