Minimum subsription needed on Dish for OTA

270 Views 3 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  Kermee
Comcast just announced that NESN will be broadcasting all of the redsox games in HDTV so I am planning on switching to Comcast for HDTV from Dish Network. As we know Comcast still does not have CBS or FOX so I would like to continue to use my 6000 OTA module to view those channels. Do I still need a subscription to DISH and what is the minimum I need?

Thanks,

Jeff

No subscription needed..you just still have to keep the dish connected. As long as it's receiving the satellite signal at all, it'll work.
Does it matter which dish is connected? Can I just use the 61.5 dish?

Thanks,

Jeff
Yup. You can pick 61.5W, 110W, 119W or 148W.

As long as it sees one of the EchoStar satellites, OTA will work.
