Will a 1/8" monno miniplug to RCA phone plug cable work for connecting a SB Live Value to Denon 5800 receiver for sending AC3 or digital signal?

In the manual it saids to use a DIN cable. DOn't know what a Din cable is.

Don't see why not. I bought one from RadioShack but I couldn't get the SB Live drivers to work in one of my computers so I returned it and never got to use the mini-to-RCA adaptor.

The adapter will work but you should know that there is some risk involved. On the Live Value digital output, the voltage is higher than SPDIF specifications. Most receivers don't have a problem with this but most people recommend getting a Hoontech add-on to bring the output back to within spec. See xcel's component list for some links on the Hoontech brackets.

I have seen several posts here that the SB Live Value 4832 does not have this problem and it is at spec.

It is working fantastic. I thought digital out would only work for DVDs. Did not realize it would work for all sound out of the PC.
