I have some nice Razer Mako 2.1 computer speakers.

The system has 2 inputs:

- a set of stereo RCA plugs

- the standard 3.5mm mini computer plug

Just curious if you guys think stereo RCA cables are that much better than miniplug... in a computer 2.1 environement.

I'm also shopping for a new sound card, and some cards like the ASUS Xonar have RCA outputs instead of 3.5mm.

for the limited distances involved, no difference. If you were running a 20' or 30' cable, then higher grade RCA audio cables with full shielding would possibily make a difference.

I finally bought a set of those shielded 3.5 wires from monoprice.

They are quite nice!

And I swear, the sound is a lot better with them.
