Mirage website finally finished.

Well, I just checked the Mirage website and lo and behold, the new site is up!

http://www.miragespeakers.com

Their new OM Design speakers are now on their and they look beautifull. One thing that just caught my eye though was that they no longer list the S12 under their subwoofer section, wonder if they discontinued it. Anyway, for those that care, the new site is now up.

I was going to send them an email asking if they needed help with anything. I swear, they must have had 1 guy working on the thing for the past 5 months now. I've been checking once a week for the new site, and happened to check on Monday. So close. I still don't see a replacement for their Omni series though.

I wonder how many of their dealers display their "top end" any more?
I'm somewhat disappointed by the new site. I was hoping for more info on what they have coming out in their currently vacant middle prices ranges. The omnisat stuff is a step down from what I'm looking for and the OM design stuff is quite a few steps up from what I'm looking for. Right now the only thing on their site that is in the range I'm looking in it the HDT series and that, to me, defeats the purpose of buying Mirage. If I buy Mirage, I want omnipolar. I can get monopoles from anyone.
I was hoping to see the replacement for the Omni line also. From what I remember from the old site is that the replacement is to be available sometime this summer, but if it is anything like the website, maybe winter. :p

Or summer of next year. Yeah, they most definitely need to fill the middle ground void they currently have. It's pretty crazy to have only bottom and top level products.
The Best Buy Train is driving them currently, let's hope that it's only temporary.

My local Mirage dealer told me they will not be carrying the OM Design series. Too rich even for his devoted Mirage customers. He also said that the Omnisat and Nanosat lines do not draw customers into his store, either. All his salespeople are nervous about the direction in which Mirage seems to be headed. As a result, he is looking for help to fill the current void. API is going to allow him to carry the Energy line to fill the mid-level void that Mirage has (temporarily?) abandoned.

Interesting that the OMD subs are not yet included on the new website. I should think that anyone interested in the new floorstanders (which are definitely sweet looking ear candy) would also be considering the new subs to put together an all-new Mirage HT. The new subs are listed on the Custom Sound Co. website, and the prices they show are MSRP.

I'd love to hear the new OMD floorstanders, BTW. Hopefully, someone on the forum will contribute listening impressions once they have the opportunity.
