I bought two Mirage v2 Floor standing speakers for 175 Each floor model. I was wondering how you can tell if the speakers are damaged? Also where can i replace the glass base becase they were chipped or can i get them repaired by a glass fixer?

You might want to ask this question in the Mirage thread: http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=624030

First thing I would check though, is the tweeter module to see if it's dented in. As for the base, I would contact Mirage directly about any replacement parts.

If the speakers are in decent shape, I'd say you got yourself a pretty damn good deal! I'm a fan of the "Mirage" sound.

Second thing you could check is how they sound connected to your receiver. Play something at a moderate level that contains high, mid, and low frequencies. You might also use the pink noise test tones on your receiver if available.

Good luck.
